Hump Day
Is anyone else having a hard time believing that it's ONLY Wednesday? This seems like the longest week ever! Maybe it's because I'm REALLY looking forward our upcoming 3 day weekend and spending a few days in Chicago with friends. Regardless though I really wish this week was over. This has been a really busy week at work and so far I've come home exhausted and cranky every single day. It's not fun for me...or my husband.
Hopefully the next few days will be better and go by quicker.

On another note.....has anyone been watching Big Brother 8 this season? I'm ashamed to admit that we are absolutely addicted. We try to watch it every time it comes on (which really is impossible since it's on 3 times a week, we know we're losers but we're not THAT bad that we're home every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday night) but if we miss it luckily all my coworkers are addicted as well and can give me the full update.
Anyway....so last nights episode made me giggle for a few reasons. Mainly because there's an extremely "religious" Christian girl on there (that sadly gives Christians a bad name) who is always saying the oddest prayers. Anyway....last night she kept saying "God bless you God" and I'm not sure why it amused me so much. I guess she never got the memo that because He's God He's already blessed. Anyway....I guess you just had to see it cause this girls a basket case and seems to never stop crying. Steve actually calls her "wah-mber" instead of Amber.

I guess that's enough Big Brother rantings for one day.

Mr. Coffee

I did it, I gave up control.......I taught my husband how to use our coffee machine. It was a monumental day in the Rodriguez household let me tell you! I still haven't taught him how to use the Espresso Machine but I showed him how to use the burr grinder and coffee machine.
I'm not sure why I didn't really want to show him how to make coffee, I think maybe just because it's "my thing" and something I really enjoy being in control of. In our house I make the coffee and he cooks the food. That's just how it's always worked.

Anyway....so yesterday I gave my coffee lesson and this morning he made the coffee and I have to admit that it was absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!! It was so bad in fact that I couldn't even drink it and therefore was grumpy all day long at work. Even Steve mentioned how horrible it was after I came home from work. At least he could recognize how utterly disgusting the coffee turned out, which will hopefully give me a little room for negotation when it comes to him wanting to make the coffee again.

Needless to say I think I"ll put off teaching him how to use our very expensive espresso machine for a whilel, and while I"m at it I'll rush to beat him to the coffee machine every morning!

Yep, I'm still alive!
I haven’t blogged in awhile. Really I’m not sure why. It hasn't been because life been's boring, but more I think it's just cause I've been really busy. We had lots of exciting stuff going on…..cardinals games, friend visiting from out of town, trips to the wineries and new jobs to name a few.
Really though all of that seems like old news simply because I’ve been MIA the last few weeks.
Life is good though. My new job has kept me busy but that’s what I like. It’s nice working a normal schedule and knowing that from 7–5 every day I’ll busy but my nights and weekends are free! It’s really a great feeling.
Steve is doing great as well. I think he’s planning on going back to college this fall….I say “I think” because school starts next Monday and he still hasn’t decided what classes he wants to take nor has he registered for them. I guess we’ll see what happens there…

Anyway….so that’s the update. I just wanted to confirm that I AM alive after all. Hopefully I’ll get back on the ball with blogging but no promises.
