It was an okay enough weekend. On the way home from my midwife appointment on Friday the front brakes went out in my car....so frustrating! Luckily, the back brakes still worked fine, so although it probably wasn't all that safe I drove the short distance to the same place where we just spent dropped $1,000.00 a few weeks ago repairing the Subaru.
Needless to say, I think Kathy is starting to enjoy our business. Luckily, it only took a day to get my Honda back in action. This week we'll be taking another return trip back to the auto shop as the Subaru is starting to make a funny noise again.
Have I mentioned lately how much I have a love/hate relationships with cars?
We went to a concert on Friday night with with Jess. I think pregnancy and concerts don't mix. After standing up for a good 3 hours I thought I was going to die! So rough! I must have looked miserable because after standing in the middle of the crowd with Steve & Jess for the 2 opening bands I decided to move off to the side for the band we actually came to see. At that point I was feeling so horrible that musical entertainment wasn't to high on my priority list. What was funny is that some lady about my age saw me standing off to the side and came and whispered in my ear "You rock, I know coming to these things when your pregnant are a real bitch!" I couldn't help but laugh and it somehow made me feel a little better.
Needless to say, the sore feet were still there the next day. I couldn't believe how much I felt just worn out and ended up taking a 3 hour nap on Saturday afternoon, even though we had a ton of stuff we needed to get done.
I was able to get the house cleaned on Sunday and got another box ready to be sent off to goodwill. Also, have I mentioned just how much I love having a dishwasher? Saves me oodles of time and had I known just how much joy it would bring to my life I would have done whatever it took to purchase one back when we bought this house a year a half ago. Speaking of purchasing houses, it looks like one of our friends will be buying a house just down the street from us. I am SOOOO excited! Coincidentally they are also having their first child, also a little boy, just a few weeks after us. I'm hoping and praying it will work out so we can have some new neighbors! If they end up moving down the street that will make 4 newborns (that we know of) in a one block radius!
Enough rambling for now. I had a very stressful Monday, so I'm praying today will go a little better.
