The weekend was good!
Steve and I went out with a few friends of his from work on Friday to the hockey game. When we lived in St. Louis we went to quite a few Blues games, but this was my first NCAA game. I have to say that I like watching NHL games just a little more, I think because for some odd reason I really like all the fighting and there's not as much of that with college hockey.
Anyway, we had these great box seats and if you know my husband you know what he was most excited about....the FOOD! They had a shrimp buffet and the shrimp were huge! I think Steve was in heaven and he's still talking about this amazing shrimp a few days later.
For me it was just really refreshing to get out. We haven't done much of that in the recent months and it was really enjoyable to get out and do something fun. We even got to meet Bucky!
Saturday was errand day and turned out to be such a waste! It seems like every place we went they were out of what we needed to buy. We were hoping to start painting the baby's room this weekend and they were even out of the tint that we needed for the color we chose. So frustrating!
We had a bunch of people over on Saturday night for dinner and a cheesy movie party. Steve got some movies from the 80's that were absolutely horrible! We watched "Big Trouble in Little China" (which I'm sad to say that my husband unfortunately loves) and "The Witness." I couldn't help but laugh seeing Kurt Russell and Harrison Ford in such cheesy movies!
Valentines day was pretty dull. Steve tore down the futon in the baby's room and took it out to the garage and then helped me clean the house. It doesn't sound like much, but really to me that is the most romantic gift ever! A clean house definitely fills my love tank. If only it was still clean today though...
