It seems like time is passing by so quickly, yet so slowly. I realized this morning that I'm almost half way done with my pregnancy...it's gone by so quick, but still somehow it seems like there's no end in sight!
We went to a party at a friends house over the weekend and I met a woman that was due just a few days after me. I felt like such a whale next to her because she was barely showing! Even better, she never has had any morning sickness. Her biggest pregnancy symptom has been that she craves chocolate once in awhile. Ohhh, I was jealous!
Speaking of cravings, my desire for McDonald's has mostly left....THANK GOD! Lately I've been craving whole wheat cous cous. So happy that now I want to stuff my face with something a little bit healthier!
We went to see the midwife on Friday and got some more tests run. I am gestational diabetes free! I wasn't really concerned about that and figured it wouldn't be a problem, but since diabetes runs in both Steve's family and mine the midwife wanted to test once at 18 weeks and then again at 28 weeks. We're still waiting to get the results back from the lab from our quad screening, but I'm not to concerned about that either.
I am so anxious, excited and nervous for our big ultrasound on the 10th. Can't wait to find out if I'm carrying a boy or girl and also hopefully get a few more answers about if our baby might in fact have downs syndrome.
That's all I got for today folks, sorry for all the pregnancy chatter. It seems to be my life these days.
