It's been 3 years.....

...since we said the big "I do's!" That's right, on April 29th, back in 2006 I married the nicest man ever! It was kind of a gloomy rainy day like it is here today, but that didn't stop it from being the best day ever!

A lot has changed since then, but we are still very much in love and I couldn't imagine life without Steve by my side.

This last year has had a lot of ups and down. Since July we have gone from spending 2 months living with Steve's parents after our house sold, to being separated for 2 1/2 months while I relocated to Madison to find us a house and myself a job, and from there to having friends move in with us at our new house here in Madison just a week after we bought it. Life has not been normal for us in any sense, but through all of these different changes it has given Steve & I both a better understanding of just how good it is to be spending life with your best friend - regardless of the circumstances.
Really, at this point I'd be fine with living in a van down by the river as long as I have the man I love by my side!

I'm so grateful for the wonderful man that God has blessed me with and can't wait to see how our life has changed and our marriage has grown next year on our anniversary.

We'll spent our anniversary watching the 100th episode of Lost at our place with some friends over tonight, and then have plans to go to a B&B on Saturday. When we first got married we made a commitment to each other that we would make every anniversary special, every year no matter what, and this year it was tempting to consider to just stay at home, but I believe one of the reasons that we do have such a happy health marriage is because we've learned to celebrate our achievements and take time to reflect on both the good and bad times and how we've grown through it. That being said I'm very glad that we're making sacrifices in other areas to make sure that we get away by ourselves for some fun! I can't wait for the weekend to get here!
