just life
The last few weeks have been kind of filled with a lot of ups and downs and I just haven't been in the mood to blog about it.

Steve got a job - at least for now. We were really excited at first, but then found out that he's just replacing another guy that's out having knee surgery and that they probably won't need him once he returns. This job battle has been so discouraging and we never thought it would be THIS difficult to find a job. Steve's looking into other options as far as making a career change goes and possibly might enroll in the technical college here to take a short course on becoming a CNA. The job search has been so difficult that we're kind of more of the mindset about going where the jobs are at this point.

As far as good news though, the weather has been beautiful and that has really lifted my spirits. We've been out taking walks every day and really enjoy the neighborhood that we live in. I was kind of anxious to see how things would be in the spring once everyone comes out of hibernation and it's been fun to get to know some of our neighbors.

I just feel like my heart has kind of been in a tug of war these last few months because I am SO ready for this season of life to be over, but at the same time I'm trying to get everything out of it that I can. I've learned so much about trusting in God and waiting on Him, but now I'm kind of sick of waiting and feel like I'm just constantly asking God to speed this process along a little bit.
I'm trying to learn to be satisfied and grateful and focus on what God IS doing rather than focus on what I think he's NOT doing. Sometimes its easier said than done though. In the meantime, I'm just thankful that Steve has work - at least for a little while. A little bit of something is better than a whole lot of nothing, right?

I've been trying to keep my chin and believe the best. Although it's harder to focus on the positive rather than the negative, it sure is a lot better for my spirit.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9
