just some tidbits
As you all know, blogging hasn't been on the forefront of my mind lately, but here's some of the random happenings of life lately:

- Tina threw me a baby shower on Sunday. It was so sweet and I felt so loved and blessed!

- We had a Cinco de Mayo party last night and now have a fridge stocked with leftover beer, margarita mix, daiquiri mix, mojito mix and rum. Do we have to have a liquor license to have all of that filling up our fridge? So sad that I didn't get to enjoy any of it except for a virgin daiquiri. I've been craving margarita's for the last month.

- I realized yesterday that coming from a dysfunctional family has its perks. For instance, our child will not have just 2 but 3 grandmothers when you include my stepmom into the mix. This has also come in handy with gifts for our little guy as all 3 grandmoms are ready to spoil this kid rotten!

- 16 actual working days left until I go on maternity leave. Can you tell I'm excited (hence the countdown)?

- I got the sweetest care package filled with lots of super cute stuff for our little guy from the Kavanaghs in the mail yesterday that totally made my day.

- Speaking of cute things....I have totally turned into "that" person that oohs and ahhs over all of the cute baby stuff out there. Who would've thought that I would turn into one of those people that gets so excited about a hooded ducky towel? Not me, that's for sure!

- I've recently had new revelations of what a "friendly drunk" is. Everyone knows what I'm talking about. Some people can get really mean and nasty when they're drunk and other people can just turn into quite the charmer. I found out last week that when our neighbors boyfriend is drunk he turns into the charmer. I carried on a 30 minute conversation with him from my kitchen window, before he insisted that I send Steve out so he could give us some extra tomatoes they weren't going to use. We happened to have friends over that evening so he became our entertainment as he stood outside and stopped every person walking or biking by to carry on more friendly conversation. I hate to laugh, but it really was quite funny.

That's all I got for you for now!
