Happenings of my day....
We heard on the news last night that we're supposed to get some high winds and bad storms today, so Steve and I decided last night at 11:00 that we might as well put away our grill and all of our patio furniture (minus the umbrella for the table which was picked up by the wind and split in half a couple of years back when we still lived in St. Louis) for the winter. That's right, I said it....winter. I just hate that word.
Good thing we put the stuff away because we have had some rather intense wind. The empty garbage can at Jill's house across the street keep blowing over, and for some reason she keeps standing it back upright thinking that it won't blow over again. I think I've seen her out there with it 4 times already today.
Other happenings, Asher slept in until 9:45 today! I was very productive and even relaxed and wasted some time on facebook. I was able to relax because my house has been clean since last Wednesday - that's right, a full week (almost). This may not be a big deal to the rest of the world, but normally it seems like my house stays clean for about 2 hours before it needs a good deep cleaning again. I don't know how I've managed to keep on top of everything so well this last week, but I hope it keeps up because I'm loving this clean house deal!
Asher got his first Halloween card in the mail today from my cute little 93 year old grandma. She even sent him 2 crisp, clean $1.00 bills with it! She also decorated the scary haunted mansion on the front of the card with a nameplate that said "Asher" on it. It was so cute!
Thursday is the big trip back to the Lou for Nadia and Justin's wedding. I somehow keep thinking that if I don't think about it, packing up all the baby stuff at the last minute won't be such an ordeal this time around. Have I mentioned lately just how much I hate traveling with a baby?
