I experienced my first earthquake this morning!
Steve & I both woke up from the shaking and it was so weird.
It was pretty small and only lasted a few seconds, from what i've read on the news websites it measured a 5.4.
We have a wooden giraffe figurine from Africa that sits on the mantle in our living room that fell off, as well as a bottle of shampoo fell off one of the shelves in the shower.
We live relatively close to train tracks and sometimes when a big train will pass we'll feel our house shake, but this felt way different. I've never experienced an earthquake, so it was more weird to me. Steve said it just reminded him of when he used to live in Southern Cali.
There's a first time for everything!
